About this place
For a hearty meal, lu rou fan (Taiwanese braised pork rice) is the centerpiece of the savory menu. Kusunokiso serves it in 2 sizes, regular and small, with the regular option eligible for a drink set alongside coffee, Taiwanese tea, or orange juice.
After a meal or for an afternoon break, douhua (tofu pudding) is offered either warm or chilled. The delicate profile of soy milk tofu pairs with gently sweetened azuki red beans, and it can also be ordered as a set with Taiwanese tea.
The wider beverage and snack lineup ranges from the house-roasted Merry Blend coffee and Tomo Cola to a house-made umeshu that balances umeboshi-like tartness with rich sweetness. Light bites like boiled chive dumplings and a plate of 4 kinds of nuts with cream cheese provide pleasant accompaniments in the calm, unhurried space.
